Welcome to Day Tours Manali. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our taxi and tour services. By booking or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
All bookings must be made through phone, WhatsApp, email, or our authorized booking channels. Bookings are subject to vehicle availability.
- Advance booking is recommended, especially during peak tourist season (April-June, September-October).
- For last-minute bookings (within 6 hours), availability cannot be guaranteed.
- Confirmation will be sent via WhatsApp or SMS with vehicle details, driver name, and contact number.
- You must provide accurate pickup location, drop-off location, date, time, and number of passengers.
- Any changes to booking must be communicated at least 6 hours before scheduled pickup time.
📌 Booking Confirmation
A booking is only confirmed after you receive a confirmation message from us with vehicle and driver details. Verbal confirmations are not considered final.
Payment can be made via cash, UPI, bank transfer, or card. Payment terms vary based on service type:
- Local Sightseeing: Full payment can be made after trip completion.
- Outstation/Long Distance: 30% advance payment required to confirm booking. Balance payable at trip completion.
- Multi-Day Tours (Leh, Spiti): 50% advance payment required. Balance payable before or at trip completion.
- All quoted prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and include driver charges and fuel for agreed distance/hours.
- Additional charges apply for extra kilometers, extra hours, toll fees, parking charges, and state entry permits.
⚠️ Additional Charges
Toll fees, parking charges, state entry permits, and night charges (10 PM - 6 AM) are payable by the customer in addition to the quoted fare. These charges vary by route and are paid directly at toll booths or parking areas.
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both customers and service providers:
- Cancellation 24+ hours before pickup: Full refund of any advance payment made.
- Cancellation 12-24 hours before pickup: 50% of advance payment will be refunded.
- Cancellation less than 12 hours before pickup: No refund of advance payment.
- No-show (customer not present at pickup): Full fare will be charged.
- Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method.
- For force majeure events (natural disasters, government restrictions, road closures), full refund will be provided.
We strive to provide the exact vehicle type you booked. However, operational circumstances may require substitutions:
- Day Tours Manali reserves the right to provide a similar or higher category vehicle if the booked vehicle is unavailable due to technical or operational reasons.
- All vehicles are well-maintained, insured, and undergo regular safety inspections.
- Drivers are licensed, experienced, and trained in mountain driving and customer service.
- Air conditioning may not function optimally in high-altitude areas (above 10,000 ft) or when the vehicle is stationary.
- Drivers are instructed to follow traffic rules. Customers cannot request drivers to over-speed or break traffic regulations.
- Driver accommodation and meals for multi-day trips are included in the package price.
To ensure a smooth and pleasant journey, customers are expected to:
- Be present at the pickup location at the scheduled time. A grace period of 15 minutes is provided.
- Treat drivers and vehicles with respect. Rude, abusive, or threatening behavior will not be tolerated.
- Not engage in illegal activities, smoking, or consumption of alcohol/drugs inside the vehicle.
- Not damage, soil, or misuse any part of the vehicle. Cleaning charges will apply for any damage or soiling.
- Carry valid identification documents during the journey, especially for interstate travel.
- Take responsibility for personal belongings. Day Tours Manali is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
- Inform the driver immediately about any discomfort, issues, or route changes required.
- Adhere to passenger capacity limits. Overloading is not permitted and violates safety regulations.
Our services cover Manali and surrounding regions. However, certain limitations apply:
- Rohtang Pass trips are subject to weather conditions and government permits. No refund if roads are closed due to weather or government orders.
- For Leh Ladakh and Spiti Valley tours, customers must be physically fit. High-altitude sickness is the customer's responsibility.
- Road conditions in mountain areas can be unpredictable. Delays due to landslides, road repairs, or traffic jams are beyond our control.
- Trip timings are estimates. Actual time may vary based on road, weather, and traffic conditions.
- Day Tours Manali reserves the right to refuse service to any customer who appears intoxicated, threatening, or unfit to travel.
🏔️ Mountain Travel Advisory
Mountain roads can be challenging. Journey times are approximate and may be affected by weather, road conditions, and seasonal factors. We prioritize safety over speed.
Understanding liability and insurance coverage is important for your peace of mind:
- All our vehicles carry comprehensive insurance as per Indian Motor Vehicle Act.
- Passenger insurance coverage is included for accidents occurring during the journey.
- Day Tours Manali is not liable for delays, cancellations, or route changes due to force majeure events, natural disasters, government restrictions, or road closures.
- We are not responsible for personal belongings, luggage, or valuables. Customers are advised to take care of their possessions.
- Any damage to the vehicle caused by customer negligence will be charged to the customer.
- Medical emergencies during travel are the customer's responsibility. We will assist in reaching the nearest medical facility.
Flexibility is important for travel, but certain rules apply:
- Itinerary changes requested during the trip are subject to driver approval and may incur additional charges.
- Major route deviations must be communicated and may require price adjustments.
- Extra stops beyond agreed itinerary may incur waiting charges.
- If customer terminates the trip midway, full fare is still payable with no refund.
- Extension of trip duration is subject to vehicle availability and must be paid at applicable rates.

- We will investigate all genuine complaints and respond within 5 business days.
- Disputes will be resolved amicably through mutual discussion.
- All disputes are subject to Manali jurisdiction only.
- Day Tours Manali reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
- Updated terms will be effective from the date of publication on our website.
- By using our services after any modifications, you accept the revised terms.
- These terms are governed by the laws of India and subject to Manali, Himachal Pradesh jurisdiction.
- Any promotional offers or discounts are subject to specific terms communicated at the time of offer.
- Photography and testimonials: We may use customer feedback and photos (with permission) for marketing purposes.
